Ashley is one of my favorite clients. Her sense of humor, sense of style and ability to make anyone feel at ease made the planning process so much fun. We so often got off task and topic when we would meet that it was like planning my best friend’s wedding. I was so excited to see her this past Saturday at our wedding at the Inn at St. John’s. Our bride this weekend was one of her bridesmaid’s. Ashley and Anthony’s ceremony took place at the Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in Downtown Detroit. One of the prettiest cathedrals in all of Detroit. The bridal bouquet was pure White Peonies, my all-time favorite flower and what I chose for my own personal bridal bouquet. The stem was wrapped in lace, fabric left over from the bridal gown. The bridesmaid bouquets were made up of White Hydrangeas, White, Blush and Champagne Spray Roses and wrapped in Ivory Satin Ribbon. Their reception was in the breath-taking Colony Club’s 3rd floor Ballroom in Downtown Detroit. Ashley wanted floor length champagne organza overlays with champagne colored paisley appliques for her guest tables. They were stunning in that ballroom. We finished the place settings with Antique Gold herringbone charger plates and ivory napkins. We alternated between branch style centerpieces with White Hydrangeas, White Dendrobium Orchids and Green Hanging Amaranthus in our Antique Trumpet Vases on half the guest tables and low dome style centerpieces in Gold Footed Bowls on the other half. We used silver mercury glass votive candle holders to set the mood. You can look at Ashley and Anthony’s wedding photography and you can just feel how much these two love each other. Their sweet natured love is what really made this event as beautiful as it was. Ashley was another bride who took a little piece of my heart when her event was over. Thank you Ashley and Anthony for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
