Their love story is one of my favorites. It reminded me that fate always knows that true love is in store for us all and can happen at any time in life if your heart is open.
Mary gave me full reign on designing this event. Everything from the place settings, the linens, the floral selections and the even the style of the arrangement designs themselves. She relayed to me that she wanted a St. Patrick's Day themed event but wanted it be classy and elegant with none of the "cheese" that goes with St. Patrick's Day here in the states. She was absolutely floored with the designs as she insisted on keeping it a complete surprise for her and her groom to walk into on their special day.
Of course my heart is always at the Colony Club and Gem Theatre so it truly was like designing in my own home. I made sure every detail was completely designed to the nines and the end result was a wedding that made everyone stop dead in their tracks. We used gold glass starburst chargers, emerald satin napkins in a pocket-fold with a gold embossed menu. The tables were draped in the Gem Theatre’s standard ivory linens topped off with our beautiful gold arabesque overlays in the Celtic Knot pattern. The Gem Theatre’s in-house mahogany chairs completed the tables.
We designed topiary style arrangements with Cream Roses, Mojito Hydrangeas and Belles of Ireland dripping with draping Hawaiian Dendrobium Orchids and White Phalaenopsis Orchids set a top of our elegant double trumpet vases. Our Gold Mercury Glass Goblet Candle Holders graced the tables with added sparkle and glow. The opposite guest tables were adorned with our Rose Gold candelabras which were draped with Ivy and were nestled in floral bases of Cream Roses, Mojito Hydrangeas and Belles of Ireland. We designed the head table with a hand laid garland in floral to match. It was a stunning event! Thank you Mary & Thomas for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
