Sarah and her Mom Susan were some of my favorite clients. I deeply enjoyed helping them pull together all the aspects of this design. I loved all the traditional garden themed elements Sam and Sarah pulled into their wedding. Sarah and Susan were so thoughtful is every single detail! It all came together so tailor-made!
It was an unbelievably hot and humid day and we were fresh from a morning rain storm. It took an unfathomable amount of work and team work amongst the vendors to pull this one off due to the weather... I will forever be grateful for the fabulous team of vendors that worked on this one as it was truly the experience and the collective respect for each other and the deep desire to make this event perfect that pulled it all together! It is a design and set-up story worth writing a book about!
Sarah chose a soft and romantic 16th century floral palette concentrating on heirloom blooms from English Tudor style gardens. The tables were clothed in champagne pleated taffeta linens. Gold Chiavari chairs, gold accented glass charger plates, gold flatware, gold and crystal stemware and ivory satin napkins complimented the custom stationery of the table setting beautifully. The tables were full of lush floral design in gold mercury glass containers and vessels nestled with gold mercury glass candle light. We even illuminating the reflecting pool with glass cylinders for added ambiance and romance. The entire event revoked a true feeling of love, romance and classic event design. The marriage of Sam and Sarah was a modern day American fairytale. Thank you to the whole Lavoie and Kaplunov families for allowing us to be a part of such an epic event!
