Jenn & Abhinav got married at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial in Grosse Pointe. Jenn is the epitome of elegance! She looked stunning in her vintage inspired lace and crystal gown. Jenn was one very laid back bride who enjoyed every detail in her planning! She trusted us with all the small design details and we were girlfriends when we got together, talking about everything from her wedding in India to of course dishing on all the details about her traditional wedding here in Michigan which was held shortly after. It was the perfect wedding day on Lake St. Clair, 70 degrees and sunny with the most perfect sea breeze coming in off the water. We put together a commanding ivory chiffon back drop against the weathered stone of the spacious Italian Renaissance-style home built in 1910 for Russell A. Alger, Jr. and his family was designed by architect Charles A. Platt of New York which they loving named the “Moorings”. We put dramatic clutches of floral where we cinched back the fabric. We created a lush path of cream rose petals down the aisle for Jenn to walk through like a real life princess. Inside we created a timeless setting of navy blue pin-tuck taffeta linens, silver chiavari chairs, silver charger plates and traditional dome style centerpieces in cream and white of lush garden greens, veronica, garden roses and other European floral details topped off by the right amount of sparkle with vintage inspired mercury glass candles. This was definitely one of my favorite designs for one of our events. Thank you Jenn & Abhinav for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
